A Young and Committed Estate

Established in 2018 by Florie Brunet and Adrien Bariol, Estate D'ici Là is located in Groslée-Saint-Benoît, in southern Bugey. These two enthusiasts took over the 6-hectare vineyard from retired winemaker Patrick Charlin, aiming to continue environmentally friendly viticulture. Upon arrival, they converted the vineyard to organic farming, certified by an accredited organization (FR-Bio-16).

An Exceptional Terroir Between Rhône and Mountains

Situated on steep limestone slopes, the vineyard enjoys a unique geographical location between the Rhône River and the Bugey mountains. The parcels, spread across the communes of Montagnieu, Lhuis, and Groslée, are located between 300 and 450 meters in altitude. This diversity of soils and exposures imparts remarkable richness and complexity to the wines.

Emblematic Grape Varieties and Artisanal Practices

The estate cultivates grape varieties typical of the region, such as Altesse, Chardonnay, Mondeuse, and Gamay. Each season, vineyard work is performed manually, from winter pruning to harvest, strengthening the bond between the winemaker and the vine. This artisanal approach ensures meticulous attention to each vine and optimal grape quality.

Living and Precise Wines

Estate D'ici Là's cuvées are crafted with indigenous yeasts from the terroir, under the AOC Bugey or Cru Montagnieu appellations. Among them, "Les Noirettes," a Gamay resulting from a 6-day carbonic maceration, offers aromas of strawberry and fresh cherry. The "Mondeuse in Terracotta Amphorae," aged for one year in amphorae, delights with notes of redcurrant and delicate dark berries. The "Brut Nature," a blend of Mondeuse, Altesse, Jacquère, Pinot Noir, and Gamay, is a traditional method sparkling wine combining vivacity and freshness.

A Promising and Innovative Estate

In just a few years, Estate D'ici Là has established itself as a reference in the Bugey wine landscape. Florie and Adrien do not hesitate to innovate, offering atypical cuvées such as an orange wine and wines aged in terracotta amphorae. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture and passion for the terroir are reflected in authentic, living, and precise wines that captivate enthusiasts seeking new oenological experiences.
