    Description Muscadet "Clos des Allées"

    Estate

    Pierre Luneau-Papin is a family-run estate located in the Nantais region of the Loire Valley. For generations, the Luneau family has cultivated vines with precision and respect for the terroir. The estate is renowned for its expressive Muscadet wines that combine tradition with modern winemaking. It is farmed according to organic principles. The domaine is considered a benchmark in the Muscadet appellation.

    Vineyard

    The vineyard stretches across hills composed of mica schist and gneiss, characteristic of the Sèvre et Maine area. The temperate oceanic climate ensures ideal conditions for ripening Melon de Bourgogne. Vineyard work emphasizes soil health and biodiversity. Harvesting is done by hand to preserve grape integrity. This terroir imparts a distinctive freshness and minerality to the wine.

    The 2022 Muscadet from Pierre Luneau-Papin stands out for its precision and purity. It showcases the elegance of Melon de Bourgogne grown on a great terroir.     Vintage

    The 2022 vintage in Muscadet was shaped by a mild spring and a hot, dry summer, leading to an even ripeness. Excellent grape health allowed for precise vinifications. Wines from this vintage show balance between ripeness, tension, and freshness. It offers early approachability along with good aging potential for Muscadet.

    Vinification & Aging

    Grapes are gently pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in traditional underground glass-lined tanks. The wine is then aged on its fine lees for several months, adding texture and aromatic complexity. Lees aging is done without stirring to preserve purity. Bottling is done without aggressive filtration. No excessive additives are used to retain the wine’s natural character.
