Estate

Domaine Trimbach, established in 1626 in Ribeauvillé, is a historic and highly respected family-run estate in Alsace. Known for its consistent quality and dry wine style, Trimbach is mainly renowned for its white wines, though it also crafts expressive Pinot Noir reds. The family’s centuries-old expertise ensures a precise and balanced approach to winemaking.

Vineyard

The vineyards are spread over selected plots around Ribeauvillé, on limestone and marl-limestone soils ideal for Pinot Noir. The semi-continental climate contributes to optimal ripening while maintaining freshness and elegance. The parcels offer well-draining soils and good sun exposure.

Wine

This 2017 Pinot Noir from Trimbach offers purity, finesse, and a fresh profile. It highlights the potential of Pinot Noir in Alsace with precision and restraint. Limited in production, it represents the red expression of the Trimbach identity.

Vintage

2017 was a balanced vintage in Alsace, marked by a warm summer and early, uniform harvest. The conditions allowed for fully ripe Pinot Noir grapes with good balance of sugar and acidity. The wines show delicate structure and good aromatic definition.

Vinification & Aging
