A Centuries-Old History in Burgundy
Founded in 1731 by Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy's oldest wine estates. For nearly three centuries, this family-run business has upheld viticultural tradition and expertise, contributing to the global reputation of the region's wines.
An Exceptional Viticultural Heritage
The estate spans 130 hectares, including 12 classified as Grand Cru and 74 as Premier Cru, making it one of the largest in the Côte d'Or. Prestigious appellations include Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Corton, and Corton-Charlemagne. This diversity of terroirs allows Bouchard Père & Fils to offer a wide range of wines that reflect the richness and complexity of Burgundy's soils.
The Château de Beaune: A Historic Setting
Since 1820, Bouchard Père & Fils has been headquartered at the Château de Beaune, a former royal fortress built in 1482. The château's underground galleries provide ideal conditions for aging wines, preserving their quality and authenticity over time.
Combining Tradition and Innovation
While respecting traditional winemaking methods, Bouchard Père & Fils incorporates modern techniques to optimize wine quality. In 2005, the estate inaugurated a new winery in Savigny-lès-Beaune, designed to enhance the vinification process while respecting the integrity of the grapes and terroir.
International Recognition
Through its unwavering commitment to excellence, Bouchard Père & Fils is globally recognized for the quality of its wines. Enthusiasts and experts particularly value the estate's ability to produce wines that faithfully express each terroir, combining finesse, elegance, and complexity.
