Dominique Laurent, originally a professional pastry chef, made a remarkable career change by entering the wine industry in 1988. Passionate about the great wines of the Côte d'Or, he founded his own estate in Nuits-Saint-Georges, becoming a "haute couture" wine merchant. His goal: to select small plots of old vines, work closely with talented winemakers, and produce wines that faithfully reflect the richness of Burgundy's terroirs.

The Creation of Domaine Laurent Père et Fils

In 2006, Dominique Laurent partnered with his son Jean to establish Domaine Laurent Père et Fils. Together, they acquired 10 hectares of vineyards located in prestigious appellations such as Meursault, Nuits-Saint-Georges, and Échezeaux. This expansion marked a new milestone in their pursuit of excellence, allowing them to control the entire production process from vine to bottle.

Traditional and Meticulous Winemaking

A strong advocate of traditional methods, Dominique Laurent favors natural winemaking. Fermentations are carried out with indigenous yeasts, and the wines are aged in high-quality oak barrels crafted in his own artisanal cooperage. This approach aims to preserve the authenticity and aromatic complexity of each cuvée, with no filtration or fining before bottling.
