The Drémont-Marroy estate, located in Charly-sur-Marne in the Vallée de la Marne, is the result of a passion passed down through several generations. In 1955, the Drémont family marketed their first bottle of champagne under their own name, marking the beginning of an adventure dedicated to producing authentic champagnes that respect their terroir.
The estate's vineyards cover 7.5 hectares, primarily planted by the current generation's parents. These plots benefit from a cool continental climate and soils composed of chalk, limestone, and clay, imparting remarkable minerality and complexity to the grapes. This unique combination of natural factors is reflected in each cuvée produced by Drémont-Marroy.
Aware of the importance of preserving the environment and biodiversity, the Drémont-Marroy family is committed to organic viticulture practices. Soil management is carried out with care, including grass cover between rows and plowing under the vines. Some plots are even worked with a Boulonnais draft horse, a breed native to northern Picardy and now endangered, demonstrating the estate's dedication to traditional and sustainable methods.
The estate offers a range of champagnes that faithfully reflect the character of their terroir. Among them, the Blanc de Méandre, an Extra Brut made from Chardonnay, stands out for its freshness and purity. The Noir de Méandre, primarily from Pinot Noir, offers a robust structure and notable aromatic depth. Each cuvée results from meticulous parcel-based vinification, allowing each lot to reveal its unique identity.
In a constant quest for excellence, the Drémont-Marroy estate collaborated with renowned winemaker Frédéric Savart to create the Éphémère 018 cuvée. This 2018 Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs comes from old Chardonnay vines located in the villages of Avize, Cramant, and Oger. With a minimal dosage of 2 g/l, this cuvée highlights a pronounced minerality, a faithful reflection of its original terroir.
