The values of Grands Bourgognes

"Grands Bourgognes" works in a short circuit; in this sense, it can be qualified as an "authentic" company. There is no intermediary between the winegrowers and the selectors Didier Petitcolas and Mathilde Barbier who meet them every week. Moreover, the company, located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, is as close as possible to its "suppliers". The purchasing circuit and the origin of the wines can be observed with complete transparency.

The best wines of Burgundy and other vineyards of France

The philosophy of "Grands Bourgognes" is to discover, hold and offer in one place the best that Burgundy and the other vineyards of France produce, in all price ranges.

Why go for a taste?

"The face-to-face tasting with the winemaker is a privileged moment. It allows us to understand the philosophy of the domain, to understand his work in the vineyard and in the cellar. Each winemaker, each terroir, each vintage has its own story to tell."

- Mathilde Barbier

"It allows you to discover a domain, to establish a strong link with the winemaker, but also to better understand a vintage, an appellation, a parcel, all of which helps to better sell the product. It is also a way to learn about new cultivation practices or the latest experiments in winemaking. And it's mostly for the pleasure of sharing!"

- Didier Petitcolas

Mathilde Barbier, how do you choose the winemakers?

"We only work with passionate winemakers who pass on their love of the land and the vine through their wines"

- Mathilde Barbier

Didier Petitcolas, how do you choose the wines you buy?

"By tasting! According to our needs and according to our meetings at trade fairs, by reading the specialized press, on recommendation... All this while trying to adapt as much as possible to the market; for example, we must take into account more and more the demand for organic and natural wines..."

- Didier Petitcolas
